

General
The Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall is located in the centre of the beautiful and historic rural village of Uffington. The building incorporates two Halls. The larger (approx. 17m x10m)can seat 175 persons and the smaller (approx. 8m x 8m) , seats 75.
Inside Facilities
The Halls can be booked separately or together. They each have independent central heating systems .There is a kitchen with a cooker and crockery. There is a disabled persons toilet and conventional ladies and gentlemen’s toilets. Tables, Trestle tables and chairs are provided. All amenities are on one level and make it particularly suited for disabled persons.
Outside Facilities
The Hall is situated next to the village common, named the Jubilee Field. The common is mown regularly and has a lush grass surface. It is surrounded by many mature trees and is ideal for a picnic. Also located on the common is a public multi sports area and children’s play ground. The Hall has a spacious tarmac surfaced car park, capable of accommodating 70 cars.
Group Activities
The Hall provides facilities for the many varied associations that use it. These include Indoor bowls, Badminton, Martial Arts, W.I., Nursery School, Afternoon Club, Church Teas, Brownies and Youth Club to name but a few. These regular users utilise daytime and evening bookings, mostly during weekdays. The Hall has periods available during the week and at weekends for individuals and organisations to book the Hall(s) for their events.
The Stage
The Hall provides a stage if required and has a very active amateur drama group associated with it. They endeavour to stage three productions a year, either pantomime, farce, variety and recently murder mystery evenings.
