General
The Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall is located in the centre of the beautiful and historic rural village of Uffington. The building incorporates two function rooms. The larger  (approx. 17m x10m) can seat 175 persons and the smaller (approx. 8m x 8m) ,  75 persons (see the plan view page).
Inside Facilities
The rooms can be booked separately or together. They each have independent central heating systems .There is a  well equipped modern kitchen with  a range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, warming unit and some crockery. There is a disabled persons toilet and conventional toilets. Tables, trestle tables and chairs are provided. All facilities are on one level with no steps which makes it particularly suitable if there are disabled persons in your party.
Outside Facilities
The Hall is situated next to the village common, named the Jubilee Field. The common is  regularly mown and has a lush grass surface.  It is surrounded by many mature trees and is ideal for a picnic. Also located on the common is a public multi sports area and children’s play ground. There is a spacious tarmac surfaced car park, capable of accommodating 70 cars.
Group Activities
The Hall provides facilities for the many varied groups that use it. These include Indoor Bowls, Badminton, Martial Arts, W.I., Mother & Toddlers, Afternoon Club, Church Lunches, Pilates, Brownies and Youth Club to name but a few. These regular users utilise daytime and evening bookings, mostly during weekdays. The Hall has periods available during the week and at weekends for individuals and organisations to book the Hall(s) for their private events.
The Stage
The  larger Hall has a purpose built permanent stage available for hirers to use by arrangement with the management.  The Uffington Players, the local amateur drama group  use the Hall as their base. They endeavour to stage three productions a year, either pantomime, farce, variety and sometimes murder mystery evenings.

To make a booking, go to Uffington Post Office Store,  Broad St, Uffington or ring them on  01367 820221. They will supply a booking form for you to complete.  An answer phone takes out of hours messages.
Their opening hours are Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri., 07:15-17:30; Wed.,  07:15-14:00; Sat., 07:30-16:00; Sun., 08:30-12:00:
